“Identity is cause; Brand is effect”, said Rutika Malaviya CEO & Editor–in-Chief of Rooh Entertainment and Licensing Corner, who took the road to entrepreneurial journey at a tender age of 22-years.
Rutika Malaviya is a leader by volition at the helm of licensing and entertainment industry, having braved the thick and thins of life and business, she holds the 10 years of extensive experience in the arrays of PR and Branding world of several industries.

Malaviya is caught by entrepreneurial fever for about 10 years now. Right from the beginning she set her sight on entertainment and licensing industries, as of now she heads and controls an established production house – Rooh Entertainment, a branding firm that has rolled out services to bigwigs in industries such as Asian Paints, P.C Jewellers, Mahindra and Mahindra and the mass network of whole Varmora Group and just many more.

Carrying a baggage of in-and out- experience in top industries, Malaviya was appointed as an Official Representative of the prestigious licensing body on a global scale – LIMA, which is booming in India, under her staunch leadership.

Here’s a look back at her journey
Rutika had started her own venture Rooh Entertainment, at the early age of 22, in the year 2010. The organization believes that everyone living has a varied Sense of Identity especially when it comes to a brand. Rooh Entertainment aims to focus on this by creative’s, marketing strategies and PR communications that help clients to make their mark in their respective industries and creating its own sense of identity.

It provides Advertising Solutions like Creative Designing, Advertising & Branding Solutions, Brand Licensing & Brand Extensions, Public Relations (PR), Media Buying-Media Planning & Digital Marketing that is well described under ATL, BTL, Brand & Corporate Identity & Retail Identity verticals. Today, Rooh Entertainment has grown heaps and bounds with two of its in-house digital publications – Animation Digital Digest & Licensing Corner.

Challenges of running a startup
Initially, it was an easy task to interact with old clients as they always knew her, but when the team size and operational costs increase one is forced to look beyond the contacts you already have.
She had extremely hard time to communicate with people in networking events or meet-ups and often would stand alone at the corner of the room dreading; however, one fine day she realized it was enough and started reading few self-help books to overcome these challenges.

Even a rare disease couldn’t become an obstacle
In 2014, at the age of 26, she met up with an accident, while traveling in the train. She survived with heavy injuries on hips and legs which made her complete bedridden for six months. She was in a wheelchair for one year being diagnosed with Avascular Necrosis. It is the death of bone tissue due to interruption of the blood supply.
This Fierce lady entrepreneur then went on to be amongst the panel of speakers on various aspects of licensing at different global platforms.

Venturing into the Licensing Industry
Licensing Corner was established on 3rd August 2017 under the flagship company of Rooh Entertainment. It caters to the needs of all licensing requirements of the industry. It has been providing brand licensing, brand extension and merchandising solutions& latest news updates along with case studies in India.
Licensing Corner is the only Magazine (Print / Digital) in India covering global licensing news and trends. The third edition of the magazine was also available at the Licensing Expo 2018, which took place in Las Vegas from May 22nd to 24th.

The India Brand Licensing Summit
The summit was founded in September 2017 with a vision to bring together thought leaders and executives from all segments of brand licensing and retail to discuss the trends that will shape the future of our industry.
