Kapil Sharma – Victim of Wit or Folly?

Being successful could be easy, but staying grounded with all grace is definitely not everybody’s cup-of-tea. With Kapil Sharma, it seems things are all topsy-turvy at the moment. In a recent clash with his co-star, Sunil Grover that led to the dispersal of other members including Ali Asgar and Chandan Prabhakar, Kapil’s comedy stardom has surely shaken to the core. According to the reports, it is said that Sunil Grover aka Dr. Mashoor Gulati is by no means making his comeback to the show. The show faced another setback when recently Sony Television too gave Kapil a month’s ultimatum to increase the show’s TRPs or make an exit.
It is not that we’ve never been entertained by great comedians of the past like Mehmood or Johnny Lever, but Kapil surely set examples to be worth remembered for his great work for years to come only if he would’ve played a fair game until today. The comedy star fails to earn that respect that once was in the hearts of his fans across the globe for his witty sense of humor. Here is the reason why?
Kapil Sharma reportedly got into the fight with his all-time co-star Sunil Grover aka Dr. Gulati on a Mumbai-Australia flight in front of the show’s entire team and some co-passengers for the reason of being drunk. Not only did he raise his volumes over Sunil but abused and hit him as well. In all of this, Sunil maintained his calm and apologized on behalf of Kapil to other co-passengers for his misbehavior. The crew was on the flight for their Australia tour and the incident surely got attention as big news in no time.
It is sad that for mere few drunken pleasure moments one (Kapil) can mistreat his teammates and that too to an extent that all the efforts that you’ve gained to reach this position go in vain. Kapil should understand this that in his success journey all this while it is the collective effort of the entire team and not just him alone. It is not his wit but folly that brought him all the trouble. Now, whether the star will regain his stardom and begin entertaining us or simply fade, time will only tell. All we can hope is the best for both the artists and may we soon be entertained by both in their wittiest way ever.

Writing was always a passion from the time she knew she had to pursue it as a profession and even before that. So, taking up writing as a serious profession was a mere step to nurture and scale up her interest in that domain.

Very precisely and beautifully put Vinay, success is there for hard working people but it’s also equally important to stay grounded….very well written….and waiting for more such well thought and articulated articles.
