Baba Ramdev | A true brand ambassador of Yoga and Ayurveda

For a very long time now, Indians have been influenced by the western world that led to idolization of everything foreign and disdain towards everything Indian. But, as Indians, we should be proud of our rich culture and heritage. Our religious scriptures and Vedas have been the epitome of knowledge that have been guiding the humanity since times immemorial. Where medical science fails, it is the Indian Ayurveda that finds successful remedies.

In the recent times, Ayurveda has gained popularity once again and more and more people are seeking Ayurveda’s help to cure their diseases. It is pertinent to mention here that Baba Ramdev has played a significant role in popularizing this ancient Indian practice. Baba Ramdev started out by conducting Yoga sessions. These yoga asanas coupled with Ayurveda medicines under the brand name of Patanjali Ayurveda helped people cure even chronic diseases. And as more and more people began benefiting from yoga and ayurvedic medicines, Baba Ramdev became more popular. He has inspired millions to stay healthy and fit by practicing pranayam. He has not only helped revive the ancient Indian ayurveda but has inspired many people to adopt Ayurveda as a way of life. Due to his relentless efforts, Yoga has occupied its deserved position with more and more people embracing Yoga over other forms of exercise.

Today, in addition to ayurvedic medicines and potions, Baba Ramdev has introduced a wide spectrum of ayurvedic products for everyday use under the brand name of Patanjali. All these products are manufactured in India, playing a perfect ambassador for the Make in India initiative of the Government of India. You can find a Patanjali product for every need.

With the introduction of Patanjali aata noodles, multinational companies were given a run for their money. The profits were earned in India and the coffers were being filled of the parent countries. Patanjali now plans to foray into the fast-food business to directly take on KFCs of the world. With a focus on quality at affordable prices, the MNCs are in for a tough competition. The benefits are multiple and from business perspective it makes sense. For one, being made in India, more jobs are being created that can help alleviate the unemployment problem. Two, the profits earned remain in India. Intangible benefits include the pride of producing quality products in India, for instance finding a Patanjali store near the Eiffel Tower in Paris.

Patanjali Ayurveda has broken into the top ten FMCG companies in India with revenues of over Rs 10,000 crores. It is ranked only behind Unilever and has left MNCs such as Nestle far behind. And, with its planned forays into fast-food segment, the MNCs are in for stiff competition while Make in India initiative is going to get a further impetus.
